If 40 is the new 20, then I’m turning 14 today
Today’s my brithday and the best thing about it will be celebrating with friends tonight. If you’re curious, I’m turning 34 which is an in-between kind of age. 34. Meh.
The girl from Hickopolis is also celebrating her birthday today, so be sure to send her good wishes. She’s turning 30.

happy b-day joe! 34 huh? yeah, seems a non-event kind of birthday if by event we mean a day filled with more irrational dread at getting older than strictly necessary.
i’m only 31 so i guess it’s within my rights to call you old fart until the end of time, since you’ll always be just-that-much older and fartier than me… but i won’t. that’d be mean.

For the record, I turned 32 in 2005, which is also sorta meh. But what you’ve got to do is celebrate this milquetoast milestone for, oh, a good week or so. Go to a movie or a show every night, or buy a new comic book every day. Get some mileage out of it.
