Steve Jobs just announced a new Apple laptop at Macworld San Francisco. The Powerbook brand is gone, replaced by the MacBook Pro. Intel processors, 15.4″ display, shipping in February. While my credit card is burning through my jeans as we speak, I think I’ll wait for a 12 or 13″ model. 1st generation hardware is a dangerous proposition anyway. Sigh. Very exciting though.

The Apple Store is down for it’s customary MacWorld update, but the fine folks at MacRumors have been liveblogging the keynote.
