I’m really excited for Richard Linklater’s film adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s A Scanner Darkly, but it looks like there’s been some trouble within the production.

What’s really fascinating about this Wired article is that Linklater chooses to talk to the press about his frustration, rather than smile and bullshit his way through in traditional Hollywood style. Somehow, this gives me hope and certainly gives me more respect for the guy, as if that were even possible after Dazed and Confused, Slacker, Waking Life, and Before Sunrise.

Also, the trailer is amazing.
