I realize Jon Stewart doesn’t need any more adulation, but if his fair and open discussion with Party of Death author Ramesh Ponnuru wasn’t enough, witness this discussion with Bill O’Reilly from October 2005.

Tea-bagging jokes aside, Jon’s respect for his guests and commitment to real political debate might make him the next Edward R. Murrow. It’s a sad commentary on the news media that Comedy Central is framing political discourse in this country, but thank god they allowed Mr. Stewart to find his true calling.
