As you may know, Warren Ellis, creator of many wonderful comics including Transmetropolitan and Ministry of Space, has a hilarious and sometimes deeply disturbing blog. While the Japanese fetish posts are a little much for me, his "Great Moments in Smoking" series warms my little, anemic heart (and my black lungs). Usually, they consist of vintage cigarette ads showing our country’s long-standing love affair with death sticks. The most recent is no exception.
