Pownce: intutive social networking

Pownce is yet another social networking app and a close cousin of both Twitter and Vox. In other words, it’s a nice combo of instant messaging, blogging, MySpace and file sharing. However, it’s actually something I think I might use.

Pownce does the vanity post thing as well as Twitter, but gives me much more choice when it comes to the audience of my ramblings. I can slice my friends into groups and easily post links, files or events to the whole world or a small set of people. It doesn’t have built-in mobile connectivity yet, but it’s only in Alpha and an API is coming soon. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.

If you’re on Pownce look me up. If not, I have a couple more invites lying around. Comment or email me if you want one.
