Keith over at Old Haunts has a great thing going. Nostalgic photos of Halloweens past live alongside 1970’s comic book ads and anecdotes about 60’s and 70’s childhood obsessions. The best part is the childhood halloween photos.

There’s something adorable and creepy about little kids in Halloween costumes. It reminds me of both those great Diane Arbus photos of institutional trick or treaters and the Halloween scene in E.T. Halloween was my second favorite thing as a kid and it’s sad to see it fading away recently.
