Tom from PlasticBag has a post today about information overload and the challenges of blogging. I can relate. between the hundreds of RSS feeds, the demands of work and life, not to mention the films, novels, and personal stuff that merit a post, I’ve been feeling seriously overwhelmed recently.

I like to think that ample time isn’t my problem. While this unprecedented access to information is addictive, I’ve yet to decide if I think it’s really valuable.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s not an age old writer’s malady that I’m facing, something about the silences being as important as the words I write. Since I’m having trouble deciding if my online vanity diary really qualifies as writing, this is neither here nor there, but I sympathize.
