Thank god for good friends

Bre Pettis and I have been amigos since 8th grade and while we haven’t always kept in touch, his energy and openness have always been inspiring and I’m proud to call him my friend. We got together for a drink last night, talked blogging, and his encouragement gave me the swift kick of creative energy I’ve been hankering for these past two months.

I love my blog, but lets be honest, despite a few forays into very dark, personal territory, it’s really just a gateway to other people’s cool shit. So, rather than risk getting stuck in the happy, but ultimately unsatisfying role of part-time internet vulture, I’m starting to mull over some changes. In other words, be on the lookout for some original content in the coming months.

If you like what you’ve been reading these past 6 months, don’t worry. This will remain my blog first and foremost. I get tons of satisfaction out of the free-form nature of this particular beast, but it’s time to get this show on the road. Stay tuned.
