Killing Time at Home is a great, bittersweet animated short by Neil Coslett and it started me thinking about toys and the little universe of feeling they carry around with them.

When you were a kid, did you ever wonder if your toy box was really a sort of gulag? There’s a whole shelf of boxes in our basement right now filled with forgotten childhood friends. Sometimes I think that they’ve all been waiting for me down there in the dark, lonely and confused. Sometimes I think it’s time to go check on my 12″plastic Chewie and maybe take him for a walk.
