Cookie Monster Takes Revenge on Martha
Cookie Monster has always been my favorite Muppet and it’s lovely to see him one-up Martha Stewart in this show clip from 2001. Given how annoyed and cold Martha seems when she has kids on her show, I can only guess this must have been her karmic retribution…
…along with that whole jail thing from a few years ago.

I can’t watch these clips from work, but I actually saw this in 2001 when it came out. It was like a deathmatch between a powermongering queen and a jester. The cookie monster always wins… At one point after a commercial, Martha had actually tied him up to restrain him from eating cookies, but cm broke free and destroyed the kitchen. I remember her look being one of complete frustration. She could control her show, but she couldn’t control the cookie monster!
