Cool Zoetropes

I’m firmly in the grip of Xmas hysteria, so please forgive the brevity and infrequency of Pop Astronaut posts over the next few days. However, I do have a moment to draw your attention to The Pixar exhibit at MOMA.

This post from Luxo drew my attention to the amazing zoetrope that Pixar installed and notes that there’s a similar machine at the Studio Ghibli Museum in Tokyo. Bre is in NYC right now and I’m green with envy.

I would give anything to take a two-leg, two week trip to NYC and Tokyo right now, but I guess that would be a world tour of zoetropes and even I’m not that esoteric and nerdy.

NY Times - It’s a Pixar World. We’re Just Living in It.
